Activity steps

  1. Set out the snack bowls,For each group of six, put out one roomy popcorn bowl and two smaller bowls for separate mix-ins, with a serving spoon in each. Allow 20 g ready-popped popcorn, 7.5 g mini pretzels and 7.5 g chocolate candies per guest. Check dietary needs and choose snacks suited to the guests’ ages.
  2. Give everyone a movie bowl,Set out one reusable snack bowl or cup per guest and a napkin if useful. If serving cocoa or warm cider, use mugs from home and prepare the drinks separately; drinks are not included in the snack quantities. A runner can dress the snack table if you want one.
  3. Build a spooky snack mix,Let everyone choose their mix-ins before the film. Keep the serving bowls on a stable table away from the seating and save extra popcorn for refills.

Ready-popped popcorn keeps setup simple. Ask about food preferences ahead of time and keep mix-ins in separate bowls. Use bowls, spoons, napkins and mugs already at home, and skip any suggestion that does not fit your evening.
