Cranberry drinks, cheese and crackers

Pour chilled cranberry juice and sparkling water straight into glasses, then set out ready-cut cheese and crackers. Two ingredients for the drinks, two for the bites.

Activity steps

  1. Chill the two drink ingredients,Plan 150 ml cranberry juice drink and 300 ml plain sparkling water per guest, enough for two small drinks. Chill both bottles well before guests arrive and keep them cold until serving. Choose a ready-to-drink cranberry juice, not a concentrate.
  2. Put out cheese and crackers,Allow 60 g ready-cut cheese cubes and 30 g crackers per guest. For every six people, put cheese in one serving bowl with one serving spoon and crackers on one food-safe tray. Set out one plate and napkin per guest. Serve small amounts of cheese and refill from the refrigerator, following its storage instructions.
  3. Pour, top up and enjoy,Put out one glass or reusable cup per guest. Pour a little cranberry juice into each glass, then add about twice as much chilled sparkling water. Make small drinks and offer refills; the allowance is about 450 ml per guest across two drinks. Pour by eye directly from the bottles—no pitcher, ice or garnish needed. Reuse each glass for the second drink.

Chill the bottles ahead and buy the cheese ready-cut. Use your own glasses, plates and serving pieces. Check dietary needs and ingredient labels; these portions cover light refreshments, so plan a full meal separately.
