Activity steps

  1. Plan the story

    Open the frame and measure its backing. Lay out photo copies, tickets and light keepsakes around one memory. Check depth before choosing objects; heavy items need a purpose-made mechanical mount.

  2. Make the background

    Cut patterned paper to fit. Secure the background to the linen backing with the frame’s included pins, keeping every point contained. Add a short caption, date or place name on a small offcut.

  3. Mount the pieces

    Use photo corners for photo copies and adhesive squares for lightweight paper items. Keep valuable originals out of this display. Keep everything clear of the frame edge and check that no piece touches the glass.

  4. Close and check

    Allow adhesive to bond as directed, then close the frame and hold it upright over the table. Pack securely. Keep valuable originals separate and use copies when possible.
