Paper Flower Bouquets

By WholeLook

Cut and shape three crepe-paper blooms, then wrap a little bouquet.

For: Ages 10+ with adult help, teens & adults

Activity steps

  1. Cut petals

Fold a sheet of crepe paper and cut rounded petals, with the paper grain running from base to tip. Make a small fringed strip for each flower centre. Keep one simple petal shape for the first bloom.

  2. Build a bloom

Wrap the centre around the stem top and fix it with floral tape. Cup each petal gently with your fingers, then add petals one at a time around the centre, securing their bases with tape.

  3. Make a trio

Repeat for two more flowers, varying colour or petal size. Cover all stem ends with tape and let any small glue joins dry.

  4. Wrap the bouquet

Arrange the three stems at different heights, tie them together with ribbon and fold tissue around the base. Keep the flowers dry and uncrushed for the trip home.

Host tip: Prepare one sample petal template. Adults manage any exposed wire ends.

Choose materials suitable for everyone’s age. Supervise children with scissors, needles and small parts. Keep craft supplies separate from food.
