For: Ages 8+ with adult help, teens & adults

Activity steps

  1. Check the kit

Use beeswax sheets and wick sold together for rolled candles. Bring sheets to a comfortably warm room so they bend without cracking. Follow the kit’s cutting dimensions and wick allowance.

  2. Start a tight roll

Place the wick along one edge, with the recommended length above the top. Fold the wax edge firmly around it, then roll slowly with even pressure, keeping the base level.

  3. Make the second candle

Press the outside seam gently closed and repeat. If a sheet cracks, stop and let it soften at room temperature; do not heat it over a flame.

  4. Label and wrap

Add safe-use labels and wrap the candles in tissue. Save lighting for home with an adult, an appropriate stable holder and clear space from anything combustible. Follow the kit’s wick-trimming directions.

Host tip: This is a no-melt workshop. Never add dried flowers, glitter or decorative paper to a candle that will be burned.

Choose materials suitable for everyone’s age. Supervise children with scissors, needles and small parts. Keep craft supplies separate from food.
