After-dinner birthday quiz
Work together on six friendly questions, compare answers, and finish with a birthday wish. The host supplies personal prompts that the group can enjoy.

Activity steps
- Prepare six fair prompts,Before guests arrive, write six simple multiple-choice questions and their answers on six blank cards. Use hobbies, favorite foods or harmless preferences that the birthday person has agreed to share. Offer three choices for every question and avoid private facts or embarrassing stories. Use a phone timer only if it helps the pace.
- Make small teams,Give each guest a paper sheet and pencil, then form teams of two to four. Fold the sheets into six answer spaces; a team can nominate one writer or let everyone sketch an idea. Read each question and its three choices aloud, allowing about a minute of discussion.
- Compare the answers together,Reveal the answer after each question and give one point for a correct choice. If nobody knows, let every team choose a guess without a penalty. Rotate who speaks for the team and allow anyone to pass. Keep the aim a shared laugh, not testing how well people know the host.
- End with a birthday bonus,Invite each team to write a kind birthday wish or invent a silly title for the coming year on the back of the answer sheet. Read them only with the writers’ agreement. Celebrate all teams together; no prizes or forfeits are required.
The questions are prepared by the host, so no printed quiz pack or outside facts are needed. For mixed friendship groups, ask easy preferences and include all answers in the choices.
