Make paper crowns

Choose colors and symbols, then turn two sheets of card into a comfortable paper crown or wrist cuff.

Children decorating broad paper crowns with marker patterns and large paper shapes while an adult helps fit a crown

Activity steps

  1. Make a crown plan,Secure the gold fringe to a portrait wall and trim it clear of the floor and dance area. Cover the table and give each guest two cardstock sheets. Share rulers, pencils and scissors to draw broad crown strips, with an adult cutting large gentle points. Share markers among six and glue sticks among three.
  2. Add royal colors,Draw a favorite symbol, initials or a pattern with markers. Cut large paper shapes from the scraps and glue them onto the crown. Use paper decoration only, without small plastic gems.
  3. Fit the crown,An adult overlaps the ends and tapes the paper joint away from hair and skin. Keep it loose and comfortable; a guest can carry the crown or display it instead. Let glued shapes hold before lifting.
  4. Welcome the royal guests,Introduce each crown and one kind thing its royal wearer would do. Clear the paper scraps before the dance, and remove any accessory that gets in the way of movement.

Pre-cut broad strips for younger guests. Paper accessories should be easy to remove, and a guest can join without wearing one.
